The programme for SINAVAL-EUROFISHING Elite 2013 (16 to 18 April) is to include the first “Bilbao Marine Energy Week”, an event aimed at trade specialists and firms already working in the field of renewable Marine energy sources or seeking to diversify into this emerging sector. During the week of April 15-19, 2013 the Bilbao Exhibition Centre will bring together international experts in the fields of offshore wind energy, ocean current and wave energy in an event that will include technical seminars, specialist meetings, site visits and social events. Bilbao Marine Energy Week is jointly organised by EVE (Basque Energy Organisation), Tecnalia and the BEC itself
Standout items on the agenda include the fifth “Ocean Energy Conference” and the “Offshore Wind Conference”. This latter conference will be showing the most innovative technological advances and reporting on the status of ongoing marine wind energy projects, with special emphasis on new technologies for deep-water locations. The event will be supplemented by a specific session analysing and discussing the procedures for carrying out work of this type with companies from the whole of the supply chain.
Following the confirmation of its success as a high value-added business Forum, in April 2013 SINAVAL-EUROFISHING will take on an exclusive new format which blends exhibitions, presentations and networking at the highest levels. In all, specialists from 28 countries took part in the 2011 event, including top-level representatives of the port, fishing, shipbuilding and marine energy sectors.
Extensive efforts to promote SINAVAL-EUROFISHING at home and abroad are under way and the event organisers are taking an active part in representative forums. Marine energy, brokerage, fishing and ports sector working groups are again being formed this year.
