The Bilbao Exhibition Centre is jointly owned by the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Municipal Councils of Bilbao and Barakaldo and the Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao. It offers a venue for commercial, industrial, professional and leisure events, and seeks to serve any need that its stakeholders may have.
The BEC has 150,000 m2 of exhibition space in 6 halls, and currently hosts around 30 trade fairs per year. Its convention centre BEC CONVENCIONES has 12 rooms of different sizes and configurations on 5 floors, and can stage congresses, symposia and meetings of all types. The complex also boasts the BIZKAIA ARENA, a multi-purpose hall that can adopt a wide range of configurations to host different types of event. This hall also has excellent acoustics and can thus handle even the most demanding events, seating up to 26,000.
