FERROFORMA PRACTICAL WORLD /BRICOFORMA 2009
EUROPEAN BENCHMARK AND INDUSTRY LEADER
Bilbao Exhibition Centre, 2nd December.- The most important event of the year in hardware, DIY and industrial supplies is only a few months away and already 53% of the 595 firms registered are from abroad, a figure that matches that of previous editions.
The geographical provenance of the companies that have registered to date certifies, once again, the international nature of this leading Fair in southern Europe. The countries that occupy the leading positions in terms of registered companies are: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Slovenia, the United States, France, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey.
Furthermore, the international attraction of the 2009 event has been reinforced by the creation of the Exhibitor+ card, an initiative developed together with the Bilbao Exhibition Centre and the Kölnmesse that benefits those exhibitors who have registered for both events, 60 to date. This way, those companies that participated in the last edition of Einsenwarenmesse/Practical World will benefit from major technical, service and promotional advantages in Ferroforma-Practical World /Bricoforma thanks to the strategic alliance signed by the two fairs.
Internationally, in addition to counting on the agents of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre and cooperation of the SPRI, the sales network has been expanded on this occasion thanks to the specific channels of the Kölnmesse in Germany, Austria, Canada, the USA, the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Singapore and Switzerland.
RENEWED FORCES
19% of exhibitors registered to date are coming to the Fair for the first time, constituting one of the most significant figures of the current campaign of Ferroforma-Practical World /Bricoforma. In 2009, there will be a significant number of recently created firms and companies that are not normally present at the fair. This percentage confirms the value of the fair as a platform open to trading opportunities, where manufacturers, agents, distributors, retailers, prescriptors and users can get a first-hand look at the latest innovations on the domestic and international markets. Currently, the sectors with greatest incidence of occupation are those of industrial supplies for construction and work protection, manual tools, hardware and home and locks and fittings.
DECISIVE SUPPORT FOR THE CAMPAIGN
TO ATTRACT NATIONAL VISITORS
The organizing team of Ferroforma-Practical World/ Bricoforma has begun its campaign to attract buyer visitors for 2009 by reaching cooperation agreements with associations, purchasing groups and DIY centres. The latter constitute this year one of the main axes of action, through which the team offers the entity and its partners visit management under preferential conditions with special services (meeting facilities, VIP card, automatic accreditation, bus for professionals, etc.).
With only a few months to go before the fair, the following organizations have already confirmed their attendance: ANCOFE, COANFE, COARCO, COFEDAL, COFEDEVA, COFERDROZA, COFERPAL, LAS RIAS, UNIFE, CADENA88/EHLIS/HABITACLE, CECOFERSA, CAFER, FERCODIS, FERGRUP, CIFEC, COFAC, COFEDAS, COINFER, UNIFERSA, FERROBOX/NIREO, GRUPO PRESION, GRUPO GCI, NEXO05, UCAF, BRICOGROUP, LEROY MERLIN, IRUÑA, AFM (MALAGA), GREMI, FEDAFE and GREMIO CARPINTEROS CATALUNYA, among others. Further to this, the regular network of national agents has been reinforced with new professionals in Castile and Leon, the Basque Country, La Rioja, Cantabria and Asturias, and a major sales drive is being implemented, working intensively throughout the country. Contacts with potential visitors (hardware, prescriptors, supply warehouses, etc.) have been very successful.
WORK WITH INTERNATIONAL GROUPS
Commercial efforts and the work with international groups obtained excellent results in 2007. Because of this, this call has reinforced invitations to international buyers’ groups.
