Morocco is to take part as the Honorary Guest Country at the 29th edition of EXPOVACACIONES in 2008, the popular international show devoted to tourism and leisure, which is to be held in the different halls at Bilbao Exhibition Centre on 15 - 18 May next.
This new edition of the show takes off with a comprehensive overview of the diverse areas of tourist specialisation and will become the meeting point for the different players in the tourist sector. EXPOVACACIONES will operate as a huge business centre, where products and destinations are presented, trade relations established and multiple contacts made between professionals and visitors.

Morocco will be one of the star attractions, as the Honorary Guest Country, and will have a special area, provided by Bilbao Exhibition Centre, to promote the country as a tourist destination and inform about the new sectoral strategies in the country.
Moreover, during this 29th edition, Morocco will be just one of the countries which will give visitors information about their great cultural and natural wealth, such as: the imperial cities declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, the thousand and one kasbahs in the south of the High Atlas, with its evocative crenellated towers between the desert and the mountain, unusual/isolated Mediterranean coves, nestling between cliffs, the walled cities on the Atlantic coast, the endless beaches of Agadir and all the essence of historical Morocco.
EXPOVACACIONES is an essential reference for professionals in the tourist sector and an exceptional showcase for the general public. The previous edition of the show was able to count on the participation of 750 exhibitors from 17 countries. It was attended by more than 267,469 visitors.

Simultaneously with EXPOVACACIONES, the 34th edition of EXPOCONSUMO will be held at Bilbao Exhibition Centre, transforming the different halls into a huge bazaar with products of different kinds, where everyone can find everything. The people who attend this event will be able to buy different models and brands of the most incredible items.
CREAMODA 2008
In the same way, from 15 to 18 May Bilbao Exhibition Centre will host the 21st Fashion Design Contest "Creamoda 2008", an excellent showcase that stretches the concept of fashion to include new artistic and cultural disciplines, at which avant-garde designers, younger than 35 years of age, are to present their original creations and aesthetic trends.
