To be held at Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 7 to 9 November
Nepal will be the featured country at EXPONATUR 2008, Nature and Adventure Fair, which is scheduled to take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre on November 7-9. The presence of the Himalayan country, home to the highest peaks on the planet and the majority of the so-called "Eight-thousanders", will be one the event’s chief attractions for enthusiasts in mountaineering, trekking and nature in general. Its spectacular geographic wealth and variety for adventure tourism offers routes and challenges at all levels. Furthermore, in a stand of 250 metres, a group of 20 Nepali companies will exhibit an important range of products and services typical of the region.
Mountain, water and air are the activity sectors exhibited at EXPONATUR 2008, which will offer visitors a broad range of sports, nature and active tourism products and services aimed at enthusiasts and indeed anyone interested in adventure and alternative leisure.
CIRCUITS, SCUBA DIVING, SURFING…
The programme confirmed so far makes it clear that the 2008 edition of EXPONATUR will be the most active and participative yet, with fascinating sports demonstrations and countless activities.
The preview of the programme includes a climbing circuit with an indoor rock face, archery, a pedal kart circuit for all the family, a "Segway" circuit, a circuit for mountain bike and quad jumps, a paintball court, a surfing exhibition with the projection of films and a selection of boards and accessories related to the sport, an exhibition of canoeing with a wide range of canoes and paddles on show, and scuba diving courses.
Additionally, visitors to EXPONATUR will receive a "Passport" that they can have stamped at each one of the activity stands that are present. People who complete all the stamps will be eligible for a prize draw that will consist of courses in horse riding, surfing, canoeing, canoe trips along the Urdabai and Butrón rivers, paintball and trips by Segway.
