This year’s Costume Jewellery, Gifts, Decoration and Fashion Accessory Fair, to be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre on October 25-27, incorporates innovative staging with a series of new elements aimed at facilitating the commercial relationships between companies and retailers that will materialise in a Fashion Show, presenting the creations of eight Basque designers and items of costume jewellery and fashion accessories presented by the exhibitors attending the event.

Parades of collections by the Basque designers Alicia Rueda, Cheshire, Ian Mosch, Jota Mas Ge, Laga, Marta Terán, Mercedes de Miguel and Sin Patrón, and of the exhibitors’ collections on a runway designed especially for the occasion, will make an extraordinary and attractively staged addition to the fashion trends on view at BISUTERIA 2008. It will also be a highly useful instrument for professionals when it comes to deciding on purchases from the articles present in the Fair.

Other novelties at BISUTERIA 2008 include a new look for the construction and design of stands, a new “on-line” image, and a new exhibitor location service available via mobile devices launched by Bilbao Exhibition Centre. This application makes the visit easier for users by providing them with information on exhibiting companies and products via their mobile phones by linking to http://mobile.bec.eu

In addition, the campaign to attract visitors to BISUTERIA this year is strengthened with direct visits to retailers in the area of influence of Bilbao Exhibition Centre.

This innovative commercial strategy of making direct personal contact, launched at this 14^th edition, sets out to attract more visitors to the Fair and actively make the most of approaching retail establishments from the sector to make them aware of the advantages and services available at BISUTERIA, the sector event for the North.

The mission of visiting shop by shop began in early September and will conclude some days before the Fair gets underway. Cantabria, Navarre, Burgos and Zaragoza, as well as the Basque Country were the regions scheduled on the commercial agenda for this show.

Naturally, the latest fashion novelties and trends for the Autumn-Winter season will be present at BEC in collaboration with nearly 60 exhibitors, including manufacturers, distributors and importers from home and abroad, who will offer an exclusive showcase for the professionals of the retail sector.

The Fair’s range encompasses the costume jewellery, crafts, leather goods, decoration, auxiliary furniture, watchmaking, fashion accessory, youth and other gift and promotion sectors. The exhibitors come from Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Bizkaia, Ávila, Álava, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Gipuzkoa, La Rioja, Málaga, Navarre, Orense and Valencia, as well as from Bolivia, Italy, France and Germany.

BISUTERIA 2008 will reveal the fashions that we will see in our towns and cities this season: Items of all sizes, with prevalence given to the eternal black and white, in a variety of styles and materials. A symbiosis of creativity, design and innovation in an endless catalogue of articles.

The dates for BISUTERIA, in the period leading up to Christmas, will once more be a good incentive to make the orders for the important seasonal campaign.
