3 – 8 March 2008
25ª BIEMH AT BILBAO EXHIBITION CENTRE
The 25th International Machine Tool Biennial will be held from 3 to 8 March 2008, an anniversary which brings to a close an extremely significant historic phase of commercial and technological development and solid external positioning.
The co-organisers - the Spanish Association of Machine Tool Manufacturers and Bilbao Exhibition Centre – will again be displaying the latest innovations and development in manufacturing machinery and technology at a six-day event. Thanks to its trajectory of consolidated progress in a pioneer monographic display of machine tools, BIEMH is now Europe's third largest specialist trade fair.
The results of the event in March 2006, when the main manufacturers and buyers from all five continents met at an international showroom which covered the six pavilions to full capacity, would seem to envisage an optimum result for the fair in 2008. The 2006 data were also rounded off with an excellent final evaluation, according to the surveys conducted during the event, where both the exhibitors and the visitors provided a positive analysis of its organisational, technical and commercial aspects. A total of 1,752 exhibitors and 39,041 professional visitors took part.
The marketing campaign has now started this month for BIEMH 2008, the basic strategic principles of which were set at the first meeting of the Advisory Technical Committee for the event on 28 March. The sectors covered in the 2008 event will be machine tools (metal cutting and metal forming), machine tool toolings, parts, components and accessories, automation of production systems, metrology, and control of quality and services.
